A c. 1940 - 1950s Italian, wrought iron mirror and console, the gold tone duo decorated overall with neoclassical elements. The simple mirror frame is topped with scrolling leaves and a flower filled vase. The mirror rests on acanthus sheathed "feet" and over a console with an inset salmon and ivory colored marble top. The console apron and legs are pierced and joined by a lyre-form stretcher. Measurements: Mirror 37.75" wide x 65.5" high. Console 14" deep at the front of the bowed leg, 12.25 deep at the console top, 33.5" high, and 39" wide. The dimensions for the two pieces together is 39ʺW × 14ʺD × 99ʺH
In very good to excellent vintage condition, with very minor scattered silvering losses to the mirror. See photographs, which are highly representative.
